HOW DO I BOOK AN APPOINTMENT?
You can book an appointment at Electric Tattoo online, via Instagram/Facebook message, or by walking into either of our two Hanoi studios – on Pham Ngoc Thach, or on Ly Nam De – just 500m from the Old Quarter. For custom designs, we recommend booking a free consultation first so your artist can understand your idea before your session. Electric Tattoo schedule appointments a maximum of three months in advance.
HOW MUCH DOES A TATTOO COST?
Tattoos start from 1,000,000 VND (about $40 USD) for small, simple pieces. Pricing depends on size, placement, and detail – small and simple designs are usually quoted at a fixed price, while larger or highly custom pieces are priced hourly. Every quote is transparent and the same for every client, Vietnamese or international – no different pricing for foreign guests.
CAN I BRING MY OWN TATTOO DESIGN?
Yes. At Electric Tattoo, every piece is custom-designed for the person wearing it – bring a reference, an idea, or even just a feeling you want to capture, and your artist will develop it into an original design made specifically for you. Nothing here is copied from a catalogue.
DOES GETTING A TATTOO HURT?
Some discomfort is normal, but pain levels vary by placement and each person’s pain tolerance. Areas with more bone and thin skin (ribs, spine, feet) tend to be more sensitive, while fleshier areas (outer arm, thigh) are usually more comfortable. Our artists work efficiently to keep sessions as smooth as possible.
HOW SHOULD I PREPARE FOR MY TATTOO APPOINTMENT?
Get a full night’s sleep, eat a proper meal beforehand, stay hydrated, and avoid alcohol for at least 24 hours before your session. Wear comfortable clothing that gives easy access to the area being tattooed.
HOW LONG DOES A TATTOO TAKE TO HEAL?
Most tattoos take about 2-3 weeks to heal on the surface, with full healing underneath the skin taking up to 4-6 weeks. Healing time can vary depending on size, placement, and how well aftercare instructions are followed.
HOW DO I CARE FOR MY NEW TATTOO?
Keep the tattoo clean and moisturized, avoid direct sunlight, swimming, and tight clothing over the area during healing, and never pick at any scabbing. Every client at Electric receives detailed aftercare instructions.
WILL FUTURE TOUCH-UPS BE CHARGED?
Electric Tattoo offers a lifetime warranty on our work. If a touch-up is needed due to normal healing or fading over time, just reach out and we’ll take care of it – your tattoo is looked after long after you leave the chair.
